香港政府宣佈了原定2014年10月1日(星期三)晚上八時在維多利亞港舉行的國慶煙花匯演，將會取消~
政府解釋，鑑於當前情況(*筆者註: 因為香港市民為真正的普選, 發起佔領中環行動, 現時金鐘、中環、銅鑼灣及旺角均有大批香港市民集會, 表達訊求)，前往各熱點觀賞煙花匯演的交通要道，可能會持續受到嚴重的影響，基於公共交通安排及市民安全考慮，決定取消今年國慶煙花匯演。
Hong Kong Governmet announced that Firework Display (1 Oct 2014) Hong Kong will be cancelled because of the Occupy Central (Umbrella Revolution).
